Ard tech

ArD Techlab, founded and directed by Carla Aramouny, is an advanced digital fabrication and research unit established by the Department of Architecture and Design at the American University of Beirut. ArD TechLab is currently providing Warchée with training workshops and the use of its facilities, including both traditional carpentry machines and digital fabrication tools such as CNC routers and laser cutters. The collaboration is coordinated between Carla Aramouny and Ghinwa Azzi, the Lab Manager, who coordinates the prototyping and production with Warchée team, as well as conducting the training sessions in the lab. ArD Techlab is also preparing the prototypes of the Beirut Awiyée Kit. The wood and metal workshops at the MSFEA provide additional support to train Warchée’s women.
